Under Indian Prime Minister’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PMKISAN) scheme, small and marginal farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is deposited directly into farmers’ bank accounts in three installments, distributed every four months.
Eligibility for Assistance:
- Farmers who own land with proper documentation are eligible to receive this assistance.
- Those ineligible include farmers without proper land documentation, Central and State Government employees, public sector and autonomous organization employees, pensioners receiving over ₹10,000 per month, income tax payers, engineers, lawyers, doctors, and family members of individuals holding political positions.
Application Process:
- Interested farmers can apply through the PM-Kisan mobile app or the official website: pmkisan.gov.in.
- To apply online, visit the website, select the section dedicated to farmers, and go to the “New Farmer” section.
- Enter your Aadhaar number to start the application. Complete the form with basic information, land survey number, bank account details, and IFSC code, then review and save your submission.
- The application data is then sent to respective state governments for district-level review.
- Verified applications are forwarded to the Central Government, which will finally deposit funds directly into eligible farmers’ bank accounts.
e-KYC Update Requirement:
